Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Video Production Lead to drive high-quality educational content creation in a fast-paced EdTech environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end video production process—from ideation to execution—across multiple formats (animated, live-action, screen recording, etc.). You will collaborate with content teams, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and external vendors to produce engaging and learner-centric video content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire video production lifecycle: pre-production, scripting, shooting, editing, post-production, and delivery.
- Collaborate with content strategists, SMEs, and instructional designers to storyboard and visualize educational modules.
- Manage in-house and freelance video production teams including editors, animators, videographers, and sound designers.
- Oversee quality control and ensure videos meet brand guidelines, learning goals, and accessibility standards.
- Optimize video formats and assets for LMS platforms, mobile devices, and YouTube-style learning environments.
- Manage production schedules, timelines, and budgets efficiently.
- Innovate with new styles (interactive, AR/VR, motion graphics) to enhance learner engagement.
- Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, and usage standards for visuals and audio.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in video production within an eLearning or EdTech organization.
- Strong portfolio showcasing educational or instructional videos across formats (animated/live-action).
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.
- Understanding of instructional design principles, storyboarding, and pedagogical video formats.
- Strong project management and leadership skills; ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and timelines.
- Excellent creative direction, visual storytelling, and editing sense.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning publishing formats is a plus.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in motion graphics, animation, or visual FX.
- Prior work with EdTech platforms like Coursera, Udemy, Khan Academy, or similar.
- Exposure to interactive video tools or AI-powered video creation platforms.
