Accessibility Specialist - Job Description
Position Overview:
Conduct accessibility audits (WCAG, ADA, Section 508) for web, ePubs, PDFs, MS Office files, and art diagrams. Provide remediation guidance and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct accessibility audits using WCAG 2.2, ADA, and other standards for websites, apps, and content.
Audit digital content (web/ePubs/PDFs/MS Docs)
Create detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for fixes.
Test with assistive tech (Screen readers: JAWS, NVDA, VO, and Talkback)
Stay updated on accessibility trends and regulations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
2+ year accessibility audit experience.
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2, ADA, Section 508, and related standards.
Proficiency in accessibility tools (Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE) and moderate knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, ARIA).
Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred: Work experience with eLearning domains.
